[He's quiet as he continues to brush her hair, waiting for her to calm down. It's not unlike how he used to do it for her when she was a cub.]

Are you alright?

[bloodthirstydawn]

[It does make her think of that a bit. He's gentle as always too.]

[She gives a slow nod despite her ears still being down]

I am alright, Papa...

[sunsetking]

Be honest with me, malaika.

[He sets the brush down to begin braiding her hair.]

It was just....unexpected.

[She didn't think he'd just appear like that. She froze up bad...

Her ears flatten more if possible.]

[sunsetking]

[He hums softly, letting her braided hair fall against her back.]

I've told you before: I won't let him take you and bring you back to the underworld.

[bloodthirstydawn]

I know...

[Her eyes soften]

I just...didn't think he could pop in like that...out of no where. If you didn't show up...

[She's not sure what would have happened]

[sunsetking]

I know.

[He shifts, wrapping his arm around her and tugging her into a hug.]

But no matter what, I’ll come save you again.

[bloodthirstydawn]

[She naturally leans into him and moves a bit so she can wrap her arms around him. She buries herself against him with even her tail wrapping around him. Her shoulders tremble a bit here and there but shes doing better. She feels safe in his arms. She always has...]

You’re safe, malaika.

[Leona hugs her properly, nuzzling the top of her head with a purr. He doesn’t mind the way she’s wrapped around him. It’s not much different from when he first took her from Kao. She was even worse back then as a cub.]

[It took her forever to just come out of the room when she first started living with him. She's come a long way from that but...seeing him is triggering for her. He scares her more than anything.

Iris keeps against Leona, hugging him tight and holding onto his shirt. It takes a while but she does slowly relax more and more and close her eyes against him. She cuddles more gently into him, listening to his heartbeat]

[It took a lot for Leona in the beginning, too. He wasn’t expecting to become a father and not after Akari’s death. But he’s had enough dealings with Kao to know he couldn’t leave the cub with him either.

Leona continues to purr, claws gently raking against her scalp now. He won’t go anywhere until he’s sure she feels secure. Even then, he’ll stay by her side.]

[Iris slowly relaxes more and more. His purr is always soothing to her. She remembers first hearing it as a cub and it encourging her to slowly do it too. For as scary and dark as people can claim Leona to be outside of the pride....he's her light.

She slowly starts to purr back to him. It's quiet but there as she nuzzles him more. It really won't be long for her to doze lightly against him. He comforts her best and makes her feel safe]

[Leona continues to purr even as she begins to doze against him. He’s not moving for now.

He does reach out to Rom and Seth to scan the perimeters of the palace, though. Make sure no one uninvited comes slinking in somehow.]

[Iris slowly sleeps soundly against him.

Rom and Seth get to work with no protest...the area will be secure. They can sense something is off withthe lion which means something must of happened]

[Leona stays with Iris a bit longer before carefully moving her so he can tuck her in. Once he’s sure she’s secure, he leaves the room to go check on the pup.]

[Moroha might of given herself and Kagami a bath. She’s in her on pajamas with her hair down. She’s got the cub in her lap as she dries his hair and ears, making sure to rub and scratch those big soft ears too~]

Ah~ I feel better, don’t you? All clean and cozy.

[She grins at him]

[sunsetking]

[Kagami is purring, tail swaying.]

I feel better!

You two certainly look cozy.

[Leona snorts as he watches them from the doorframe, arms crossed over his chest.]

[Moroha blinks and looks over to him. She removes the towel to start brushing Kagami’s hair with her claws gently]

We just had a nice hot bath so of course. Uh, everything good on your end?

[With Iris and all?]

Yeah. She’s asleep now.

[He sighs.]

How’d you get caught?

[bloodthirstydawn]

I tried to attack him.

[She shrugs]

Didn’t know he had the same plant powers as Iris. Next time I’ll be more prepared and actually smash his face in.

You do that and he’ll make you a part of his flower garden.

[He sighs.]

Don’t go picking a fight with the underworld demon.

You really don't think I stand a chance huh?

[She huffs at him]

I'm not scared of anybody.

[Except an angry mom or setsuna sometimes.]

Pup, it’s not a matter of being scared or not. It’s knowing when to fight and when not to.

[He scoffs softly.]

Im not a coward...do you back down from fights? It didn't seem like you were going to.

[She shakes her head, still brushing Kagami's hair]

[sunsetking]

I’d rather avoid fighting him if I can. Don’t need my soul being sucked out of me.

[He watches her.]

You gotta learn that you can’t fight every battle and expect to win.
