[It was over.

It was a long war, too long for Lavi to even appreciate to the fullest. Switching sides midway wasn't even surprising for his nature - Bookmen were never exactly loyal to any side but their own, after all - but what was surprising was how much Lavi began to enjoy their company, even if he and Shun didn't exactly see eye to eye. It was even longer until they managed to split everyone up again from Yuya and Yuzu, back into their respective counterparts.

With the dimensions still damaged from the war, it would take everyone's help to restore the proper balance again.

But now, it was a time of celebration. Everyone was enjoying themselves, partying as they celebrated having their friends back.

Lavi watched them for a bit longer from his place in the shadows, a hint of a smile on his face. However, it faded when he remembered that he still had a job to do - he needed to report back to his mentor - and sighed softly. Giving the party another look, he turns and walks out, fidgeting with the duel disk still attached to him.]

Guess we'll just have to see how it goes first.

[Yuto looks at Lavi and squeezes his hand.]

It'll be okay.

[He laughs softly, lifting their linked hands to brush a kiss against Yuto's knuckles.]

I believe you.

[Yuto blushes madly at that.]

Ah... [He's so surprised that he doesn't know what to say.] G-good... You should just believe me! [He blurts out eventually, then looks away.]

[That gets another laugh out of him.]

You're not really an expert on admitting your feelings, are you?

[Well, of course he's not! It's not like he has much experience with romance.]

Is that a bad thing?

It isn't, but it's a bit refreshing considering how much you didn't hesitate to suspect me when we first met.

[And was ready to fight him. Ah, good times.]

Can you blame me?

[They were enemies at first and Yuto had all the right to suspect Lavi.]

I never said I did.

[He grins at him.]

I'll admit that it was fun making you confused whenever I saved you, though.

[At that Yuto gives him an unhappy look.]

"Fun"? There was nothing fun in that.

You think that because I was the one doing all the harassing.

[And Lavi can be a bit of a masochist, but that's honestly nothing new with him.]

[He sighs.]

Should I worry that you might harass me again?

[He might as well ask!

And yet he still doesn't let go of Lavi's hand.]

Nope - well, I might just tease you now.

[That's perfectly acceptable, right?]

That's not exactly reassuring.

[But Yuto gives him a small smile anyway.]

Yet I still got you to smile, didn't I?

[Lifting their linked hands, he brushes a kiss against Yuto's knuckles.]

[And again Yuto blushes brightly at that small affection.]

...You did.

[And you also made my heart beat faster. But that is not something that Yuto would say so he keeps that thought to himself.]

I consider that an achievement.

[He also got you to blush, so bonus points.]

[He tries to frown, but a smile still refuses to disappear from his face.]

...You're impossible.

[Lavi laughs.]

Your life would be boring without me.

I'm pretty sure it wasn't boring before I met you...

[Yuto gives him a big, happy smile.]

...But now I can't imagine what it would be like without.

Now who's the one being sweet?

[Yuto's eyes widen for a moment then he quickly looks away, face red and eyes closed.]

...Let's go already! Everybody is waiting.

[And he tugs Lavi by the hand towards the party again.]

[Lavi can't help but burst out laughing, allowing Yuto to drag him back to the party.

At least he's more welcomed this time than the first time, and Lavi can feel his mask slipping, allowing more genuine feelings to show.]
