[Ventus smiles cutely and leads Vanitas over to a more private area of the beach.
It’s shaded and more to keep Vanitas out of the sun. He doesn’t mind them not being noticed. They will be eventually. Ventus and Sora naturally gravitate towards each other after all.]
[Vanitas is fine to let Ventus lead the way, and grateful to be heading somewhere quiet. The laughter he hears soon fades into the distance, replaced by the quiet noises of the ocean's waves and the breeze rustling through trees. Like this, it's easy to pretend that they're alone.]
[He stays near Ventus, for a moment just taking in the world. He'd been here before, sure, but he's never truly stopped to experience it. It's warm, sunny, and inviting; all the things he's not. It makes him frown.]
I don't get what the appeal of this world is. It's small, and bright. And full of annoying people.
[He frowns at Ventus at the jab, huffing as he turns to look out at the ocean, at first making it seem like he’s not going to deign Ventus’s comment with an answer. But after a minute or two, he speaks up.]
[Ven’s arms around his shoulders snaps Vanitas’s attention to the blonde, the brush of lips against his making him visibly shiver. His eyes drift half-shut and a smirk grows on his face.]
Yeah, when you’re off playing with your friends. But you’re much better when you’re like this.
[He brings his own hands up to settle on Ven’s hips, and he moves in to try and get another taste of Ven’s lips.]
[That makes Vanitas frown, responding to that playful tease with an annoyed frown of his own. He uses his hands to try and tug at Ventus’s hips to bring him closer.]
I like you better when you’re focusing on me. Everyone else trying to get your attention is just getting in the way.
[He's never been this honest about how he's feeling. But given his new connection to Ventus, he can't help but be more open with his other half.]
[He trembles slightly as those fingers find the base of his neck, letting out a breath as those positive feelings he's grown so accustomed to begin to stir within him.]
Name one.
[It comes out a little softer than he intends it to.]
[Vanitas lets out a low grumble at the answer; he can't even argue those points, because getting information from sources IS useful. And sparring is good for keeping oneself sharp, after all.]
[He'd say more, but when Ventus's lips trail down his neck he lets out a sigh, a pleasant shiver going down his spine. His shoulders drop and he tilts his head to the side, giving Ventus more room to trace his lips along. One hand grips Ventus's hip, while the other slides up the blonde's back, fingers pressing to tug Ventus closer to him.]

[His voice holds a bit of laughter in it.
Taking off his shoes and socks, he lets his toes wiggle in the soft sand.]
And to be fair, Vanitas. Who isn’t annoying to you?
no subject
...you’re tolerable.

[Ventus' smile shifts.
He stands in front of Vanitas, draping his arms over his shoulders and tugging him close. His lips brushes against the other's, teasing.]

Ventus tightens his hold around his shoulders before pulling back, playfully refusing Vanitas what he desires.]
Oh?

I like you better when you’re focusing on me. Everyone else trying to get your attention is just getting in the way.

[Or just want to hang out with him.
He does take one step closer though.]

[And it's irritating how easily Ven caves to their demands.]
[He steps closer when Ven does, moving to rest his forehead against Ven's.]
You're my light. Not theirs.
no subject
[His smile shifts a bit.
Almost sharper, but it's hidden behind warmth.]
Not willing to share your light?
no subject
[Is it possessive? Sure. But their hearts were joined now. He didn't feel like sharing.]
no subject
No need to be so possessive, Vani.
no subject
And you're going to act like you're not possessive of me?
no subject
[He breathes against his lips.]
I think you like it when I get possessive of you honestly.
no subject
If it means you focus on me more than others. You said yourself you need me to make you whole. So why play around with these idiots?
no subject
[Simple as that.
He strokes his cheek before his fingers trails down to his neck.]
no subject
It's always about your friends, isn't it? It's annoying.
no subject
[Like making Vanitas jealous.
It's nice to see Vanitas being more honest about his feelings.
His fingers traces along the base of his neck.]

[He almost purrs.
Ventus nips at his neck before pulling back.]
Can't get you riled up.
no subject
Why not?
no subject
[He lets out a breathless laugh at the hand on his back.]
And having sand in certain places isn't exactly appealing.
