[It's been some time since Yona has grown to be a part of the little family consisting of him and Anna, along with the others. It's not quite often Izumo would find himself taken with a "pet", especially not just after a night. Anyone who knows him is too familiar with how Izumo works, though that's not to say Izumo is easy-going.

Rather, it's more because of how Izumo himself has a habit of closing himself off in ways where certain instincts are difficult to penetrate.

Of course, Izumo does take Yona to work with him. Yona is still new to the city and is adjusting, so he figures bringing her to work with him would be able to help her get a good handle on everything. He can feel the other vampires' gazes on her, something that instinctively causes him to bristle up in response to it. Clicking his tongue, he holds back a certain urge as Yona rejoins him in the back.

He looks at her.]

Are you handling everything okay?

[ She had been somewhat aware of the eyes on her - perhaps not to the extent that Izumo was with his senses, but it was impossible to miss all the same. Sometimes it made her a little worried or frightened, but Izumo's presence nearby was often enough to stave that off. Not wanting him to worry, she casts him a rueful smile as she passes, pausing to lay her hand on his arm and give a light squeeze. ]

I'm fine, Izumo. You're worrying too much. Look, I haven't even broken a glass all night!

[A small huff of laughter escapes as he leans down, pressing his lips against the top of her head.]

You're certainly improving. Are you enjoying working?

[If she's enjoying herself despite the eyes on her, then Izumo has no qualms with letting her work at the bar more often. Then again, he'll have to ensure no one touches her either. Yona is very appealing, after all.]

I am. [ She smiles warmly up at him when he presses a kiss to the top of her head, leaning into that familiar affection. Although she hesitates, glancing up to search his face. ] Am I doing alright, though? I don't want to be a bother...

You are. And you're never a bother, Yona.

[He pulls back to smile at her.]
