[They were supposed to be healing, but when could they ever truly get the chance to heal?

Time has passed, things have changed, but it's still there in the depths of Izumo's unconsciousness. He can still hear their laughter, their cruel words. He can still remember the missions that's been assigned to him, the familiar threats that if he doesn't do what he says, they'll kill Eric.

Eric, the reason why Izumo is still with them when he could so easily escape.

Eric, his brother.

But in his dreams, his nightmares, his brother isn't alive and Izumo's struggling to find him. But all he can taste is blood in his mouth, the way chills ran up and down his spine as he tries so hard to find Eric, to make sure his brother is alive because if he isn't--

If Eric isn't alive, then Izumo has no reason to keep himself chained.

But his nightmares are never kind to him, and Izumo realizes he has a still body in his arms, covered in blood.

"B-Brother...why..." Eric's hoarse voice calls out to him, filled with betrayal. As Izumo turns to look down, it's to his horror he realizes he's the one who killed Eric.

A scream escapes from him as Izumo wakes up, cold sweat dripping down.]
